If you sometimes strain your voice or feel that it does not always reflect who you are and you want to discover your vocal range and power, these courses will help you. They introduce you to the benefits of improved voice production, and how to speak clearly and manage all aspects of your voice over a full day of teaching, training or advocacy.
The courses below are our basic and advanced voice training courses, they include our training for barristers, for newly qualified teachers and professional voice users.
1. Your Voice for Professional Speaking - 1 day for 6 to 8 people
This voice fundamentals course enables you to produce your voice safely, manage your nerves and impact on any audience.
2. The Expressive Voice - 1 day for 6 to 8 people
More advanced than the above course this looks at how we bring authentic emotion and range into public speaking.
3. The Voice at Work and How to avoid Vocal Strain
Training for newly qualified teacher’s and professional voice users - 2 hour or half day
Interactive awareness workshop for up to 14 people
The fewer the numbers on the course the greater the benefit to participants.
This participatory course is designed to help academic and teaching staff and trainers to understand voice production and be able to produce their voices in a safe way while adding interest and colour.
It looks at very basic physiology of the voice and will examine the importance of posture in relation to a healthy voice.
The course briefly covers:
• Confidence and skill in delivery
• Improved posture and presence
• Improving vocal tone, clarity of speech and pace
• Useful, simple relaxation exercises
• Tips to keep your voice healthy
• Exercises to help overcome nerves
